we are excited to announce body-landscape (wt), a collaborative body-based short film centering queer intimacy and tenderness through tactile encounters and the concept of ‘surfaces’.
emerging across our communities of practice in germany and the uk, this evolving piece invites us to reimagine our bodies as relational landscapes.
through remote, score-based prompts, participants will contribute abstract video, sound, and text. Together we will co-create a multi-sensory montage on queer intimacy across space, time, and enforced identity.
the completed film will premiere at future bodies: the dance that persists (curated by the London Contemporary Dance School in july 25) and will feature as the fourth constellation on the digital archive ‚archiv* der aärtlichkeit‘ (http://www.archivderzaertlichkeit.de/).
requirements:
• movers identify as flinta*
• ability to commit 2-3 hours across may-june (including soft deadlines)
• openness for recording digital media (anonymously)
• no formal experience w dance or filming required.
we are currently applying for funding. if successful, will be able to pay everyone involved. if not we would like to explore a gifting/in-kind exchange model to appreciate your work.
the project is led by the genderqueer artists Iona Hannagan Lewis (caerdydd) and Anno Bolender (frankfurt/london). their practices explore queerfeminist movement, intergenerational pleasure, and the radical potential of body-based encounter to build the communities we so urgently need.
we are looking forward to meet you!
